FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before your first session — from how telehealth works to what to expect from therapy with Dr. Burch.

All sessions with Dr. Burch are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Once you schedule an appointment, you'll receive a link to join your session from any device — no software to install. You'll meet face-to-face with Dr. Burch in a private, confidential video environment, just as you would in an in-person office.

You'll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a private, quiet space where you feel comfortable speaking freely. That's it — no special software or technical setup required.

Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is equally effective as in-person therapy for most conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship issues. Many clients actually find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own space.

Dr. Burch is currently licensed to provide telehealth therapy in Georgia, Washington, and Hawaii. You must be physically located in one of these states at the time of your session.
